G. Michael Flores, CEO of Bretton Woods, Inc., is a consultant and researcher who has provided strategic consulting services to financial services companies for close to 40 years, with a particular focus on higher risk market segments including alternative credit and payments programs for the last 10 years. For the last five years he has researched access to banking services for state legal cannabis businesses.  He has co-authored and published a Cash Management Standards for cannabis businesses in conjunction with the National Association of Cannabis Businesses.

Additionally, he has written and published research papers on consumer credit and overdrafts in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as papers on payments, including general-purpose reloadable and payroll prepaid cards. Based on these studies, he has been as expert witness for overdraft class action suits, testified before three House and and two Senate subcommittees and spoken to industry groups.
